Google, Yahoo, MSN,.... How many hits do these websites get a day. Do they have any SEO techniques implemented in them or are they just plain 20 lines of code having a logo, a text box, and few buttons.

Do we require SEO for Search Engines. If you do get nto detail of this, they do need search engine. Google, Yahoo pays millions of dollars to Mozilla Firefox just to have that small search box on the browser. Research has been revealed that there are more search engines on the Internet then any other technology ever built. Everymonth hundreds and hundreds of search engine websites come up and go down - they are no competition for the big one's. If you have your browser's home page set to Google/Yahoo why will you ever go to http://www.searchtheweb.com/ (I never knew this site did exist until I mentioned it here).

Now back to the topic - do search engines use SEO techniques and if they do why do they do it for - getting into search engines? - They are already search engines why do they want to get into search engines? interesting question - but it also has an interesting answer.

We all do want to go for the big one's - no one aims for small - This is human mentality. If you hear that Google is the best you will never look at other search engines, and after that its a matter of getting used to it.

Now what is the basic functionality behind the Search Engines - they index the websites and write algorithms on how to run the search for different queries. Not all search engines run the same algorithms - everyone has their own algorithms and thats the reason you will find different results in different search engines though the search term is the same.

Now there are search engines that do focus on certain terms and develop alogrithms for that specific category. Suppose I am a food lover and I want to get some stuff/receipe that is related to food, why would I go to google which gives me results based on general category - why not go to http://www.foodsearch.com/ where I can make my search more specific. Now who knew this did exist - so here is the need for SEO for Search Engines.

If you are a specific category Search Engine and no one knows about you, you need to work on SEO for your website to get in top results in the major Search Engines - What is the benefit - If you appear in the top few in - suppose Google - and you are a food search website - What will be the impact??? The Answer - When someone comes in to search for food he will see that your website is on the first result - and people tent to click on the top result without looking at the name or description. And after this all depends on how you carry your theme around. If people do like it they will bookmark or remember your website name and for the next search will come directly to you. Helps HuH!!!

Again there are these millions and millions of search engines that do this - nothing new - You ask me wat to do??? I say - Dont look for what people are looking for - Go behind your competitors - See what they are doing to get in the top and this is no big secret - All the search engines index the same code that you get on your browser - So what do you have to do right click view source.

Next look for PPC(Pay Per Click), Search for SES(Search Engine Submissions), Exchange-Links with other websites and the major step - have a blog and write in forums - Search Engines give them priorities too.

In the industry for better results and success - there is lot of work to undergo and it doesnt end when you reach the top. The actual competition begins when you are at the top - People will try to bring you down but being updated and alert is all it takes to stay there.

Its a beautiful day today here in Washington DC. The temperature is around 55-60. The sun is out. i got up early took a long shower(as usual) and set out straight to work. Everything was on time and I say befor time. Got to work place at 8:40am(I feel proud already) but as usual didnt feel like steppin in - so I redirected - My new destination ---- Starbucks ---- This journey was long about 2 blocks but had to make it.

I got to starbucks in 5 mins ordered some coffee and breakfast. The music was really good in there. They were playingsome instrumental and someone was playing damn good piano in it. I was so into it that I raised my arms and started swinging not even looking around. This didnt last long I got myself together and asked the female out there who is this and wat cd is it. She didnt had a clue. No worries --- guess have to use my google skills to find out wat starbucks plays.

Then head out straight to work and got inside at 9:01am - shit man a minute late... how do i manage to get late everytime (I said late not laid).... but i guess that would sound good... yeah only sound coz i dont intent to at 9 in the morning... hehe

Two big days of work stand ahead and have to cruise through them. No work in the office... not one of those busy days... Wait let me check my email .... yup no work no email no nothing.... will work on some stuff and chat with you all...

Lost my job.... got paid only for 30 hours whereas I worked 200 hours... the only words they said were .... we cant do anything to help u....

Now I jobless... lots of bills to pay.... did a lot shoppin thinkin that someday i will have lots a money....

And also cant search for a new job till september start... can my luck be so bad.....

Sleep does take a lot of time... but wat happens wen u sleep...

I do get a lot of dreams... some good ones... some nightmares.... but r very exciting.... People say that I have a troubled soul... but thats fine as long as I have these dreams... There r people who dont like dreams... they say its disturbing... dont wanna think wen i m sleepin... I dont care i like my dreams...

Think abt it u can do anytin... u can have any chick in the world... any riches u dream of...

But there are negative parts of it.... "Nightmares"

But i do love both aspect of it... dont care about them ... actually have more fun havin nightmares then normal dreams.... my favourite nightmare --- "Attack on DC.... thousands of planes crashing in and around DC.... leavin columbia plaza" hahahaha.... this can never happen... but still brings a smile everytime i think about it.... i m a bit crazy haan? is that wat u think...

Independence Day clelbration in US sucks.... I am sayin as if we had some great celebrations back home.... but as much they say... I expected a lot and wat did i find... shit...
(My expectations were a lil high... I did expect sometin we say in LOTR... the one where bilbo baggins celebrates his b'day)

Fireworks here are considered to be one of the best as it is the capital of the nation.... but i guess even in a small town like tarapur... we will get better fireworks done by a smalll child... Also i am not complainin as we have a entire festival dedicated to it whereas it was just independence day...

As Software Engineers, we were told never to reinvent the wheel... even thou if we dont follow this in our software, we do Reinvent the wheel everyday in our activities. You may say that you dont, but there r only around one percent of people in this world who dont.

Its kind of routine, we cant automate it. It just sits with the schedule.

Get up early mornin
Go to work
work till 5 or 6
come home watch tv
eat food
sleep

and the cyle goes on... forever

Just started readin Harry Potter 6... Never actually read a book in my life... I got this ebook online..

Reading is interesting... but when I m goin thru the sad part of the book... I do feel "better wait for the movie to come"...

But as Deepak said... books are always so expressive as compared to movies... I c myself actually imaginin stuff.. makin up characters and things.. i wud never c in movies... Thou they cn make it better... its all mine...

But I guess i may not b able to complete the book... reasons?
1. Never read a book in my life... if i did ever never completed one... not even fanatic book that we used for our exams..

2. its 290 pages... who the hell writes such a huge book... I dont know how they ever review the book.. (Also in this case this book is unedited version and there are lots of mistakes... hope it gets out good on 16th july wen it comes out)

3. Harry Potter... not my type...

I can put down thousands of reasons... but dont feel like...

People tent not to be satisfied with what they have and that is a fact... whatever u have u will never be satisfied... no need cryin over it...

After livin for around 11 months in the US... I never got thru the mentality of these people...

When I fell like I know them better... sometin hits me and again I have to change my mind regardin what they are what they feel... Better you think u know them... u dont... They are a special kind of species... (as if anyone cud have ever understood me)... but I do like to know people surroundin me.. what they think... what they like... what they feel... but no i am alwaz wrong...

Finally decided to move in with Jennifer in august.. but I m not sure whether its a wise decision or not.. my roommates are abusin me... but i know they dont want me to leave... but just to try sometin new have to do it...

I dont know whether I am actin as a spoiled sport or was always this way... but I guess this all are the after effects of the race... but I have been a lot complainin these daz... not as much as linus... but I know I have been...

Alwaz want more from life... I dont know y... but I do... I know while writin this I am totally satisfied with wat i have and wat I m... but I dont know mayb its the other part of my mind.. which keeps on callin me and demands...

I want to go to LA in august... but there are a lot of things for me to do here... My project is goin to be launched day after Independence day(4th july)... 5th july will b a big day... plans r great... and I know to a extent it will work... but still not sure... But if it gets thru... it will b huge really huge... even these days wen i surf on amazon, the site looks like a pity... since I cant mention about my project till 5th july.. i cant write anytin abt it here... but one thing it will either be a huge sucess or a huge flop show... all depends on the thinkin of these US polititions...

I finally decided to get a licence... but now I think its oo late... better late then never... Paul gives me hope everytime I read his blog...

Alex is celebratin his 21st b'day tomorrow... and hope he might have some ideas abt wat we r plannin for him... mayb take him to stripclub and drown him in beer...

I am at work now and its 8:00 pm... dont know how long will b here... but like workin here... lotsa young crowd... all around 21 22... time just fly thru... Now no one is here except for me alex and ravi... Hope to leave soon... but dont know when...

After a long time.... finally had a great weekend... didnt plan but everytin happened.....
These are the things I did ...

1. Thursday night...not a weekend... drank coke in Harry's with don(co-worker) who drank beer... only bcoz i didnt had a proper id... but then we moved on to Froggy Bottom with Katherine and drank loads of beer...Also got to play pool with katherine... we both suck at it

2. Friday night... this was fun... we(Don, Aaron, Katherine, Jennifer) went to adams morgan... first we went to Madams organs... a gr8 place and had loads and loads of beer..played a game "never did"... was fun... After drinkin for about 3-4 hours we went to another place...which had a dance floor....nice place..or say awesome

3. Saturday Night... went to watch aditya play cricket at jefferson... then we(aditya, Ashu, Bunty, roy, rachita) went to J-Pauls had dinner... my dinner was 2 corona's... then we went for the movie Mr and Mrs Smith... 3/10....sad movie

4. Sunday Night... Got up late... at 7 in the evening... didnt had anytin to do... no one wanted to go out... so i called up Katherine and we went for the movie... Lords of Dogtown... decent movie...

Thats it... was fun...

1.I ran up the escalators at London bridge station,i had not eaten since morning and it was around 1 a.m.

After reaching the station , i saw my train about to leave, so i ran a lil faster. A few minutes after getting into the train my heart started pounding, it was like this bass drum that just refused to stop, the dizziness started and i thought i was having a heart attack, i was sick till the time i got home (around 20 mins)

It was the scariest moment of my life, i thought i was dying!!


2.Another really scary moment happened abouta month back,

I had a really high fever, my body just heated up like a furnace. Keep in mind i live alone here, and for some reason there was not a single pill i could take. So im all alone at night, cant sleep and the fever is starting to take over each and every part of me.

I thought thats it,"this is definitely how im going to die".

Isnt it nice to work part time as compared to full time.... The only problem is that u dont get all the benfits...

Working part time has been given me a lot of time in doing other times..thou I always wanted to work full time, but as a student i would have not enjoyed all that I did in my part time job...

There is no chance of raise.... no chance of promotion ... no nothing , but I have worked my way out of it.. My position is flexible..... can drop in any time of the day... work for 20 hours a week...(actual work is only 5 hours a week. But still have to be in office.

It does satify my needs, my sleep and my alcohol requirements.

Soon i'll b working full time and I know it wud b difficult... but thats wat life is... the good part of working as compared to school life is that u dont have any exams... I mean u have tests but they dont affect u that much...

Work for 40 hours a week.... 8 hours a day and nothing to do for the next 16hours of day...

But that wud b something..... Speaking of which elvis is in the building(my boss) and i will do write later

Sudden changes.... sometimes u r shocked and sometimes happy. U never know where they come from, y they come but do take them, even if u refuse to accept.... Trust me u go with them without complainin

Childhood is alwaz fun... U can do wat u want dont care a damn abt wats goin on no one takes u seriously.... they enjoy wat u do and u do enjoy life .... but there r no memories.... as wat u do is all laughed upon and said childish... wats that is

As a youth u get to enjoy and u have to ... never lose this part.... and everyone has their own way their own plans. Never can I b as u are or u can b as I am. Its wat u r created for... U cant fly but u can run... Life turns out good wen u r young... Memories remain for ever. friends stay for ever and believe me thats the best part of LIFE.... u never wanna miss those moments

What are we doing on this planet... r we on a mission or are we here for a purpose... Is there eternity anywhere or r these just words that r used to make feel better and live a good life... And if there is sometin like this why are we working from monday to Friday from 9-5 and then go home watch TV eat and sleep, saturday sunday go out party and this this goes on and on.... no stop for it... Is this is what we r here for....

Are me machines to work day in and day out just to make sometin or help doin sometin. As a software person wat do I do... work on some software that helps other person do his work which in turn helps some other person.. Y dont we just leave it as it is..easy to say haan... But still as life goes on we keep on doin the same thing... no complains....

Wat do I do.... notin just fool around... drink smoke party.....wat is this all for.... NO idea... guess just to take off u r head from sometin harsh u dont want to know or they dont want u to know...who they ... who r they and y do they want u to enjoi.... mayb coz tomoroow u will b useful...if not u die...that simple... or does it go some other way...

Wat r the rules to play this game- THE LIFE - No rules ... learn by u r mistakes and if u cant u lose. Thats wat I do try out everytin and unless someone tells u or sometin occurs to u... u dont realize that it is wrong or a mistake... Mistake - yeah wat is it.. It is the level (your level) which u thing is doin sometin wrong. Now I think doin sometin is not a mistake coz i think its right.. while u dont. There r sources like u r parents and friends to guide u in this game but u do fall in trouble(alwaz)..

Is life a game... I think so... now u might not .... Thats wat it makes u feel... Thats called opinion.. We have different opinion abt different things in life...Opinions can change easily but that too again depend how strongly u follow them. But sometimes even if u follow sometin very strongly... a small change can change u r opinion. Now is it sometin u think cahages for good or is there someone wanting to change it so u can change. No answer.

Do u feel for someone... do u have feelings towards someone. U like them ... u hate them... u dont like to b them... u want to spend most of u r time wit them... Who r THEY. They do really exist. Do they think as u do. Do they have feelings or they r just some players in this game. They are there to help u, diverge u, make u feel good wen u lose, make u feel bad wen u win...There r all types of people around u. So this game is not as simple as it looks. U call them friends... the people u like the people who help u. Still sometimes these friends dont help u. They do cheat u they do try to harm u make u lose the game. Y do u call them friends...coz u care. but Y? No answers

But For a change I guess Imagination does work.... Looking at my boss thinking of him as some Jungle Indian guy comin out searchin for me giving me a mission to save her daughter (Damn his daughter is hot)... and i fail... but that doesnt matter... Do think a lot of things this brain.... mayb thats the reason i get all these weird dreams and nightmares(i enjoi them both the same way)....Or do they signify somethings... have lots of questions .... no answers....

Homework - 10:00 - 2:00 (have to submit it by 12:00... but its too much but hope to finish by 2am)

Home - 5:00 - 6:00 ( surely will not sleep or else will miss the lecture at 6)
Class - 6:00 - 9:00 (Computer Network Defence)

I m waitin for that 10th of May(not that it is bro's birthday) but I will b over with this sem and 9 more credits

Hey Guys,

Finally I made it. I got Summer Internship at http://www.electionmall.biz/

It was long back when I went for an Interview at this place. They said they will not pay me anything for summer and after that if they like my job they will think about it in Fall. I said no and then tried at a couple of other places.

And Today I got a call from them askin if I would like to join them for a stipend. It was a dream come true. Now they have called me on Wed for fillin out some forms. Hope it goes well. Anywaz I was tired of givin interviews. U cant imagine the places I had been.

The best interview or I sud say the funniest was for an olympic guy. He has won a lot of medals and he has his company of Jump ropes and he wanted to get into IT world so he was lookin for some IT students. U can imagine wat wud have happened.

And guys do u know Linus got a job at Infrasoft. Finally he is out of call center good for him. And guess who works in that company....Roger. Both of them will have a "Nice TIme". hahahaha

Just got up and wanted to put my dremas somewhere b4 I forget. U know this dream stuff, u alwaz forget after few moments.....

Slept at 1:30 yesterday night and got up at 2:00 today.... mast 12 hours ki sleep and guess the number of dreams I saw.......

First one the most interesting one.... In this dream I go back to India and I have a GF in india and I take her with me to US. But the problem is she doesnt have visa and she is in US(funny situation) Then the US government want gher to go back and for that there are lotsa matrix type fights ... jumpin around flying and stuff..... Also they bombard my current place Columbia Plaza C923.... wen Aditya Deepak And Ashutosh(my roommates) are having coffee. SO they shout at me and say look at us we have all burnt black like you ....all becos of u(hahahahahahahaha)...... And also they all lose their limbs and sittin in a corner.... By the time the govt get hold of me i have two kids and now my wife is in India back and I am killed..... wat u tot it over....Khatam nahi hua re chutia.....I a still in the dream .....I am a booooooooooooooooooot(ghost) and I have power to control things and human beings like in a ghost movie(hahahaha) .....Now wen I am playin around with people with my ghostly skills, Someone complains and they call a ghost catcher....guess who this turns out..... my sister in law(hahahahahaha) .... she does catch me and starts hittin me....bashin me ...throwin me on ground.....sala buri tarah se pit gaya.....and after some time she finds out who I am and stops....and then we live happily ever after....coz I forgot wat happened after that....

Next dream... I am sittin on my chair and someone comes and throws me down and I wake up....hahaha S&S

next dream... I c my roommate is takin bath at a place called deli(coffee place) outside in the park....like in india people do....hahaha

i forgot now wat i saw.... c i told u b4 i do forget them easily......


No ways have to go to cut my hair ,,,,, the weather is good outside ....sun is out around 15-17 degrees celcius .... dont have to look for jacket......
